The Department of History began the new academic year 2021-2022 with the blessings of the Almighty to carry out the activities with new zeal and aspiration. The programmes were planned by the head and the faculty of the department for the academic enrichment and overall performance of the students.
The association meeting was held in the month of March to elect the office bearers for the academic year 2021- 2022. Ms.RUBA .K of III B.A History , the President. Ms.SONY.J.R of III B.A History , Ms.THARANI.S of II B.A History and JENISHA.R of I B.A History were elected as the office beares of the association for the academic year.
PG and Research Department of History Organized TNPSC and Civil Services Orientation to the students of Providence College for Women by Mr. Kirubakaran on 2nd and 3rd of September 2021.

The Department aims to produce highly competent readers and writers of history who are committed to truth and who would uphold the values of India, and will act with compassion and zeal for the betterment of all the people of this country and others through their historiographic knowledge and skills and to promote justice, peace and harmony in a pluralistic society with social responsibility.
