CLUBS & ASSOCIATION ACTIVITIES
ECO GREEN CLUB
The Eco Green Club plays a vital role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation, which motivates the students to keep their surrounding green and clean. The Eco Green Club logo emphasises the Mother Nature having the Future in Her womb. The duty of every individual is to preserve Procreation. The Motto is “Empower Mother Earth with Earnest Earning” The Club organizes programmes (seminar, workshop, exhibition), several activities and competitions on important days like World Environment Day, Forest Day, Wet land day, Earth Day, etc.
CULTURAL COMMITTEE
The cultural committee hunts the hidden talents and he potential of the students in various fields of arts like music, dance, drama, painting, crafts and literary activities. The students are motivated to be a part of every intra- and inter- collegiate cultural events. The planning, coordination and guidance is taken care by the committee and assistance is provided to broaden their exposure. It also promote/enables oneness, bonding between students in various institutions and team sprit among the student community.
ROTARACT CLUB
Rotaract club belongs to the 3203 District Rotaract organization under zone 3 which has been active and patented by Rotary Ooty town. We are known for our special women empowerment projects and as achieved the awards for the same. We have completed more than 30 projects with support of the management and the team.
PEACE CLUB
Mother Teresa once said, “Peace begins with a smile”. It’s a framework that promotes learning about peace and gaining skills to deal with conflict, to turn commitment into action and putting those elements together to find ways to make the world a better place. The club organizes regular meetings every week to discuss about various issues. Invited talk, webinars and seminars are organized to peace building skills. Important days like World Peace Day, Human Right Day, etc. are celebrated. Various Competitions like Collage Making, Poem Recitation, wall Magazines, Poster Making and Skit/ Drama are conducted.
BLOOD DONORS CLUB
The Red Ribbon Club, Youth Red Cross and blood donation club are active. The donors are highly energetic especially in times of emergency. These clubs have really proven to be the life-blood of the Government hospital Blood Banks. Their selfless service to society is highly commendable by social service organisations who choose to be associated with the YRC and RRC clubs of the Providence college.
AICUF
The All India Christian University Federation (AICUF unit) of our college works for the upliftment of the downtrodden empowerment of women. It is a social. It is a social service unit and renders prompt help and assistance in times of natural calamities and dire situations. The representation and contribution of Providence College to the state level and national level AICUF has always been noteworthy.
